Why I left Shopify to use this native eCommerce on Salesforce.

October 29, 2025

When I first dove into building eCommerce sites, Shopify felt like the obvious move. Everyone was hyping it up. Easy set up, sleek design, plug and play everything. I thought, “Perfect. This is how we will scale.”

But the deeper I got, the clearer it became: Shopify is great for getting started and a nightmare once you actually start to grow.

Every time we needed a new feature, we had to add another app.

Subscriptions? App.

Loyalty program? App.

Multi-channel inventory? App.

Each came with a separate bill, a separate dashboard and a separate headache. That was the breaking point.

Then I found StoreConnect, and honestly, it was like a light switching on.

Because StoreConnect isn’t just another eCommerce platform. It is built natively on Salesforce. Everything, sales, inventory, automation, support, lives in one system.

No third-party duct tape.

No fragile integrations.

No guessing which platform has the “real” data.

It just works.

With Shopify, your data lives in silos. Orders in Shopify. Customer service tickets in another tool. Email marketing in another. Analytics elsewhere. Accounting in yet another system.

Every connection is a potential failure point. One small update can break your entire workflow. You end up spending hours troubleshooting connections that should just work, using Zapier or similar tools to build basic automation that still breaks regularly.

StoreConnect eliminates that chaos. Everything is unified. Sales, customers, reporting, automation, all native, all synced in real-time.

No APIs to babysit. No spreadsheets to reconcile. Just one clean source of truth. Until I saw it, I didn’t know it was possible to achieve this seamless system.

StoreConnect includes what most Shopify merchants have to piece together: subscriptions, loyalty programs, POS, reporting, automation, marketing tools. All under one roof. One login. One bill. One system that scales with you.

When I switched to StoreConnect to build sites, I realized how much unnecessary complexity I’d normalized. I was juggling a dozen different platforms, each with its own login, its own quirks, its own monthly charge.

StoreConnect brought everything back under control and it felt like hitting “reset” on my entire eCommerce operation.

Shopify looks affordable until you add everything you actually need.

By the time we were fully operational, we were spending a fortune a month on apps and connectors, not counting the hours wasted troubleshooting them or the mental overhead of managing it all.

StoreConnect flipped that.

No app stack, no hidden integration costs, no technical debt. We cut our operational overhead by about 30%, but more importantly, we regained our focus.

In Shopify’s world, your data lives everywhere, which means it’s never quite right anywhere.

Orders, inventory, marketing, analytics, each app has its own version of the truth. I lived in constant anxiety about whether everything was actually syncing properly.

With StoreConnect, everything lives in one place. Real-time, accurate, and connected. No more reconciliation. No more guessing. Just clarity.

Switching platforms always sounds intimidating. But with StoreConnect, the onboarding was smoother than expected. Once everything synced seamlessly in one place, I couldn’t believe how much time I’d wasted maintaining chaos.

If you’re stuck in the Shopify app maze, fighting constant integration fatigue, or just want a system that scales without breaking, do yourself a favor and take a serious look at StoreConnect.

This isn’t just another tool. It’s a fundamentally different philosophy: simplicity over complexity, unification over fragmentation. Trust me, your future self will thank you.
